The City of Panama City, with the support of a $1 million grant, will host six tree giveaways throughout the year in an effort to restore the urban canopy lost in the wake of Hurricane Michael. One giveaway event will occur in each Ward, and they will all occur on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. or until supplies last. Each household can receive up to two trees per giveaway.

2025 Tree Giveaway Dates and Locations

• October 18, 2025 - H.D. Mathis Park

• November 15, 2025 - Oaks By The Bay Park 

To receive the FREE trees, recipients must be Bay County residents, be present at the event and fill out a registration form (per the grant’s requirements). The registration form can be filled out prior to the giveaway or on-site the day of the giveaway. At each giveaway event, two lines will be set up, one for registration forms already filled out and one for citizens who need to fill them out on-site.
